To extend affordable Broadband access for all, there is a need to drive fiber access to deep rural and underserve areas. This is only possible by taking with an open access fibre network allowing multiple MNOs and ISPs to utilize the same network. This will drastically reduce the deployment cost and hence the final broadband cost to the consumer.
Silver Rock and its partners are currently engage in discussions to deploy Open Access Fibre Networks in several West African markets. An open access fibre network is critical for the success of Broadband LTE Networks in Africa.
